The 2nd Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) Economic Forum and 2008 Guangdong SMEs Development Strategy Economic Forum, directed by the SME Bureau of Guangdong Province, and sponsored by SME Service Center of Guangdong Province, held in Guangzhou on August 2, 2008. The theme of this meeting was "exchange, innovation, and development ". Mr. Liu Huanquan, deputy director of Guangdong Provincial Economy & Trade Commission and chief of Guangdong SME Bureau, Mr. Wang Jianxiang, director of Division of General Affairs of SME Department of Ministry of Industry & Information Technology, Mr. Guan Weiping, deputy director-general of Guangdong SME Bureau, Mr. Yang Fan, one of China's leading economists and professor of Business Academy of China University of Political Science & Law, attended this conference. Mrs. Xu Xia, director of Guangdong SME Service Center, presided over this forum. About 300 experts from the whole Guangdong Province, officials from SME administration departments, representatives from SME service institutions, and reporters from news medias, joined this forum.
