Established in September 1984, Shanghai Dairy Association (SDA) is a cross-sector, trans-ownership and non-profit industry organization as legal person organized voluntarily by dairy production and dairy processing entities in Shanghai.

  SDA currently has 115 members of various ownerships. Through years of development, the number of the members has reached over 50% of the total number of dairy entities in Shanghai, with annual sales amount accounting for over 85% of the total of the industry.

  SDA’s mission is to abide by the Constitution, laws, regulations and policies of the state, comply with the social morality and international practices, assist the government in industry administration, protect the legal rights and interests of the members and the industry in domestic and international markets, and accelerate the healthy development of Shanghai dairy industry. SDA publishes Dairy Information (monthly) and Dairy Science and Technology (quarterly) to provide extensive information to the members, holds dairy industry exhibition annually with the presence of famous enterprises in the world, organizes one or two national academic seminars every year, and organizes technical trainings together with enterprises. The Recommended Product Mark of SDA has been accepted widely in the industry.
